Iljuwas
Advertising the release of the 2020 Iljuwas (Bill Reid) commemorative $2 coin, the Royal Canadian Mint designed print ads to appear in magazines such as Canadian Coin News. These ads were written by me, and I provided art direction to the graphic design team.
To increase public knowledge of the artist, a series of bilingual Trivia Tuesday posts about Bill Reid were released as Stories on RCM's Instagram pages (@canadianmint and @monnaieroyale), which were interacted with by more than 1,500 users. This content was researched, written, and designed by me.
victory nickels & toonies
Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War, RCM released a $2 coin into circulation that paid homage to the 5-cent Victory Nickels produced during wartime in the 1940s.
A variety of products were developed around this release, which were displayed in print advertisements. These were written and art directed by me.
Trivia Tuesday questions were also posted in the Stories of RCM's Instagram profiles, which were researched, written, designed, and posted by me.
Family Fridays
During the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, the RCM looked to entertain and educate families with a series of fun activities posted on Family Fridays. These activities taught kids about the parts of a coin, gave users the opportunity to draw their own coin, or provided an "I Spy" game using a numismatist's personal collection.
Activities were brainstormed, researched, written, and designed by me. In some cases, I also photographed and illustrated the activities.
